2. Smart

Anyone who promises that you can become an affiliate marketing millionaire without being smart is likely trying to take advantage of how not smart you are (no offense).

You don't have to be a Harvard graduate to make a million dollars through affiliate marketing, but you do have to be pretty smart. Also, it doesn't hurt to be a Harvard grad, because a good number of your chums are probably in the affiliate marketing game just like you.

We love affiliate marketing as much, if not more, than the next man. But affiliate marketing is not Jesus, Buddha, or Muhammad. Or Yaweh. Or…well, you get the idea.

Affiliate marketing niches can go cold, dry. Government regulation, for instance, can squash whole cottage industries with one fell swoop. Affiliate marketing partners can go out of business, change commission rates, or see their products surpassed by foreign competition.
