Overall:
MarketLeverage is fast-becoming an 800-pound gorilla in the affiliate marketing business. They have a wide selection of products and frequently highlight special affiliate offers, many of which are exclusive. Their dating offers are particularly strong. So is their customer service department and so is their reputation. MarketLeverage is a great place for a newer affiliate to get familiar with what's going on in this industry.
Ease of Use:
Market Leverage is an affiliate marketing juggernaut, listing over 400 programs. For the beginner affiliate, that's a ton of information to sift through. But it's also a uniquely exciting endeavor, because there is just so much good stuff here. You can get lost for hours on this site, but it's a good lost (as in, potentially profitable). Market Leverage does a fantastic job of managing all this information, but it's still a lot to absorb, so we can't call it totally easy.
Reputation/Security:
Market Leverage is an acknowledged leader in the affiliate marketing industry. Based out of Lake Mary, Florida, they work with charities such as the Ronald McDonald Foundation, and are commendably transparent. If you want to meet the Marketing Leverage team personally, all you have to do is go to one of the major affiliate marketing conferences, such as Affiliate Summit. They also have a TV channel, so you can literally see who you're working with.
Customer Service:
Each affiliate is assigned a manager. You see his or her picture at the top of your page, and you can reach him or her by phone, email, even instant messenger. Also, something we've seen here that we've seen nowhere else - affiliate managers giving out their cell phone numbers. They also offer a 24/7, toll-free emergency hotline. What constitutes an emergency? If an offer you're running is going to an unresponsive landing page, a URL is not working properly, or an image isn't loading fast enough. In other words, contact these people whenever you want, for whatever you need.
Commission Rate:
The great thing about Marketing Leverage's dating section is that it brings all the top referral programs to one place, allowing you to compare and contrast so as to choose wisely. This is where the strategy of affiliate marketing comes into play. For example, some dating sites focus on a certain ethnic or religious group, while some are purely for adults. Commissions vary, usually in the range of $3-7 per sign-up. Also note: some sites allow visitors to sign up for free, while still paying you for sending over the non-paying customer. Also note again: look out for special offers and bonuses, because they come early and often.
Ease of Commission Payment:
Market Leverage makes new affiliates prove that they're legit before issuing any payments. You must, for example, fill out a W-9 form for tax purposes and agree to abide by the CAN-SPAM Act. You also must have a fully functioning website with no "under construction" sections. Once you cross all those Ts and dot all those Is, though, Marketing Leverage pays on time and in full. You can even request weekly payouts, once your revenue exceeds $1,000 per week.
