Overall: 
Megafriends is an interesting option in the dating space because it is meant to be a community, not just a place to start romance. Depending on your audience, this less pressure-filled vibe could be right for you. From the affiliate perspective, Megafriends is easy to use and, best of all, pays recurring commissions. That means that as long as someone's a paying member of Megafriends, someone's paying you. Many affiliate dating programs pay only once.
Ease of Use: 
Megafriends offers a streamlined approach while not skimping on affiliate options. They have a multitude of banner ads to choose from, for instance, but the choices are neatly organized by ad type and target demographic. Everything they do is like that: simply but smartly designed. We would definitely recommend giving their geo-specific products a try. The simplest tool--a search box on your site inviting potential customers to see members located nearby--is one of the best tools, especially if your website(s) cater to a certain area of the country.
Reputation/Security: 
Founded in 2000, Megafriends currently has about 600,000 members. The founders, Joe and Marg, started it as a way to make friends, not lovers, and it has retained a certain casual and personal touch, as opposed to a giant site like Match.com. Because they're smaller than the big dating sites, they rely heavily on their affiliates and treat us well. Despite its down home feel, Megafriends is quite meticulous with its business practices, such as their anti-spam policy.
Customer Service: 
Call us old-fashioned, but we never give out anywhere near five stars for sites that don't give us a phone number to call. Megafriends directs all initial affiliate queries through their online system. On the upside, they do get back to you quickly. As a company, Megafriends is very receptive to comments and suggestions from their affiliates. They don't treat you like a number, but we wish they would give us a number, because sometimes we like to use phones.
Commission Rate:
The best thing about the Megafriends affiliate program is that they pay you a commission on recurring sales. A lot of dating sites only pay commission on the initial customer sign-up order. But with Megafriends, you have the potential to gain residual income. Every time customers pay their monthly bill, you get a cut--for as long as they're members. Oh, and lest we forget to mention, your cut is pretty huge: 40% of all customer payments--for as long as they're members. Megafriends also pays 5% second tier commissions, for any webmasters you refer.
Ease of Commission Payment:
Megafriends pays by check, once per month on the first of the month for the previous month's commissions. They don't do PayPal. Personally we're okay with that because we don't like paying the PayPal transaction fee, but this can present a problem if you travel a lot. The minimum balance required to receive a check is $50.
