Overall:
4RX is an online pharmacy that specializes in selling generic medications. What sets 4RX apart from other online pharmacies is that it's the only online pharmacy where customers can purchase Rimonabant which is a pill that is used for smoking cession and weight loss. If you publish content that has to do with quitting smoking and/or losing weight, the ability to promote Rimonabant can be a good profit center. For affiliates who can effectively promote their products, the 4RX affiliate program can boast high conversion rates. Normally, the "intentionality" of a typical 4RX visitor is fairly high, meaning that if you go looking for generic drugs of a certain type, you are meaning to BUY these generic drugs, you are not merely browsing for information - so that, too, can be a boon for affiliates of 4RX. The fatal flaw of the 4RX affiliate program is a socially inept affiliate management team.
Ease of Use:
There is a small fee required to become an affiliate, which can be a bummer. Your registration is not complete once you fill out the online form. You must wait for an affiliate agent to contact you to complete your registration which can take up to two days.
If you are new to affiliate marketing, you will be able to get some help from 4RX. 4RX provides a team of advertising and Web designers that will work with you to create and customize specific banners, graphics, links, and other promo tools for your site. Once you get past the vetting process and the accompanying small fee, things get easier.
Though 4RX offers only generic products, their products are still popular and have a proven track record of sales, which makes it easier for affiliates to gain referrals.
Reputation/Security:
Some 4RX affiliates like that at 4RX, affiliates have the opportunity to customize their banners and links. This is a feature that is not offered by many programs. SSL encryption of financial information and acceptable sales pages add to the effect. Unlike most affiliate programs, 4RX requires a start-up fee, so this turns many people off. Overall, 4RX has a lukewarm reputation.
Customer Service:
This is where 4RX falls apart. It's unfortunate, because an otherwise good affiliate program is effectively ruined by an affiliate manager completely lacking any professionalism or social graces. On an email to an affiliate (with Ace Affiliates carbon copied), this affiliate manager openly called the affiliate an a--hole, among other things. We've never seen such behavior from an affiliate manager and hope to never see it again.
Commission Rate:
Affiliates will receive a base commision rate of 25 percent of every purchase made by a customer they referred. Each time an affiliate refers a customer, that customer recieves a unique ID that attaches them to the referring affiliate. This allows affiliates to receive a commission every time that customer makes a purchase. There is also a 5 percent second-tier commission rate from purchases made by customers of affiliates referred by other affiliates, so this can add an extra layer of earning to your 4RX affiliate account.
Ease of Commission Payment:
Commission is paid to affiliates every week, so that's the good news. Unfortunately, the only medium of payment is through direct deposit wire transfers. So the time it takes for affiliates to receive their commission payments depends on the bank that the affiliate uses. With all the banking turmoil of recent times, combined with the fact of the 4RX product line being generic drugs, well let's just say that more commission reception methods would be advisable. Also, there might be transfer fees taken from the payments depending on the amount of commission you receive.
