Overall:
Interactive Brands is a new age Internet marketing company that seeks to understand the online consumer, and then use that knowledge to make sales. Additionally, Interactive Brands has collected a solid network of products for affiliates to choose from. Most of these products are software, and you can bet that they've researched exactly what software products consumers are searching for online. The strength of the Interactive Brands affiliate program lies in their ability to convert searchers into purchasers. Their affiliate managers are smart and helpful, as well.
Ease of Use:
As an affiliate, it's easy to see yourself making money with Interactive Brands because their product list is strong and very conducive to Internet purchasing. For example, if a visitor to your website clicks on an ad for virus scanning software, it's likely that customer needs virus scanning software and may make that purchase. Interactive Brands also has a simple but powerful affiliate interface that includes easy-to-install links and thorough reporting features.
Reputation/Security:
Interactive Brands sells to plenty of people in America, but Western Europe is where they do a lot of their major business. As a company, they are an impressive group and they really "get it" when it comes to Internet marketing. Their laser focus on converting clicks into customers makes them a good affiliate partner, because your commissions depend on those conversions. Their products are pretty good and they run an honest business, too, which is always nice.
Customer Service:
Dedicated affiliate managers with phone numbers and emails, right there on the front page. Customer service is headquartered in Canada, though, so your time may not be your time and you may have to face international calling rates. They need to offer an 800 number. That being said, it's rarely necessary to call, because they're very responsive over email.
Commission Rate:
Interactive Brands pays per sale. How much depends on what product you're promoting. Their PDF offerings are their bread and butter, and might be yours, too, averaging a hefty $30 per sale. They also have some nice anti-spyware programs that pay in the $30 per sale range. Their special offers often pay fantastically, so keep an eye out for those. Interactive Brands does pay you for the webmasters you refer, but not terribly much. With Interactive Brands, you really have to match up your products with your audience. For example, if you write a blog about fixing computer problems, this could be the perfect program. A blog about flowers, not so much.
Ease of Commission Payment:
Interactive Brands pays monthly, and only when your account balance meets or exceeds $100. They are honest and conscientious about getting affiliates paid on time and in full. You can request payment via PayPal, paper check, wire transfer, or ePassport.
